TABARATH
The first Griffomorphic / Deconstructivist photographer, Tabarath approaches photography as an emotional inquiry structured like a puzzle. While emotions are universally recognized, each individual experiences them differently. For this reason, the final piece of the puzzle is placed by the viewer—the one who stands before the photograph.
His artistic photography is influenced less by traditional photographic practices and more by modern and surrealist visual artists such as Marc Chagall—in his exploration of the couple—and René Magritte, particularly in his meditation on the enigma of identity. From these references, and through symbolic and mythological frameworks inspired by Leonora Carrington, Tabarath constructs a singular visual language, one rooted in personal mythology and poetic symbolism.
